What was Dr Seuss First Book? His first book was And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street, written in 1938. This book was rejected by publishers 27 times! It just so happened that on the way home to burn his only copy a friend from college ran across Dr Seuss and was able to convince him to let their publishing company print the book. It was a stroke of pure luck, one that ensured that the world would come to know the genius that is Dr Seuss.

Not all Dr Seuss Drawings actually made their way into Dr Seuss books. There is actually a pretty awesome book available called The Secret Art of Dr Seuss. It contains some of the coolest, most abstract work ever done by Dr Seuss. Just fair warning, though. Not all of the paintings in this book are kid-friendly (i.e. nudity). Nevertheless, it's a great source of insight into the mind of a wonderfully creative man, Dr Seuss.
